Terms of Use
The rules for using the service, in plain words. Three parts are worth reading properly even if you skip the rest: we hold your funds briefly while the transfer happens, transactions cannot be reversed once they are on a blockchain, and you are the one responsible for checking the addresses you give us. If anything here does not match what the rest of the site told you, this page is the one that counts, and it is the version in force right now.
1. The service
SpanSwap lets you send crypto on one blockchain and receive an equivalent value on another, without an account. You provide a destination address and a refund address, send funds to a deposit address we provide, and we execute the transfer.
2. Temporary custody
Between the moment you send funds to your deposit address and the moment the bridge completes (or a refund is issued), those funds are held by SpanSwap's operating wallet. This is a necessary part of how the service works and is not an investment, deposit account, or custodial wallet service in the ordinary sense; funds are moved onward automatically and are not intended to be held longer than the bridge takes to complete.
2a. Coins swapped by NEAR Intents
Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Zcash, Aptos and NEAR are swapped by NEAR Intents, a service run by Intents Technology, not by SpanSwap. For these coins you pay NEAR Intents straight from your own wallet: SpanSwap never holds the funds (section 2 does not apply), and any refund comes from NEAR Intents to the wallet you paid from.
You have no contract with Intents Technology and no rights against it. It gives no warranties, it is not liable to you, and nothing SpanSwap says is a promise on its behalf.
Swaps cannot be undone. They carry network fees, slippage, bridge and other on-chain risks, and you carry the risks of your own wallet. Neither SpanSwap nor Intents Technology guarantees the price, the execution or that the service is available.
You may not use these swaps if you are on a sanctions list or in a country NEAR Intents bars: Afghanistan, Belarus, the Central African Republic, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Nicaragua, North Korea, Russia, the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe.
If a swap fills at a better price than quoted, NEAR Intents may keep up to half of the difference. If it fills worse, within the 1% limit set on the order, you carry the difference.
If you are in the UK: this is a tool you use on your own initiative. Nothing on this site recommends, invites or encourages you to trade cryptoassets.
3. Fees
The exchange rate you're quoted already reflects our service fee — there is no separate line-item fee charged on top of what you're shown. Network and routing fees are also reflected in the quote.
4. Eligibility and prohibited use
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction, including meeting any minimum age requirement where you live. You may not use this service for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or any other illegal purpose, or if you are located in, or a resident of, any jurisdiction where use of this service would be prohibited.
5. Risks
Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible once confirmed on-chain. Blockchain networks can experience congestion, forks, or outages outside our control. Cryptocurrency values are volatile. You are solely responsible for verifying that the destination and refund addresses you provide are correct — an incorrect address may result in an unrecoverable loss of funds. This service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
6. Refunds
If a bridge cannot be completed, funds are returned to the refund address you provided, minus any network fees already incurred at the time of the failure. Refunds are not guaranteed if you provide an incorrect refund address.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpanSwap is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including losses due to blockchain network issues, third-party service outages (including our routing provider), or user error.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version shown here is always current. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
